The Republican Party has made massive gains among Hispanic voters since the 2020 presidential election — cutting the Democrats’ advantage by nearly 20 percent, according to a new survey. Only Democrats have an advantage over Republicans with Hispanic voters at 44 percent to 37 percent, according to the Battlefield Survey Project of the National Republican Congressional Committee Released on Friday. The margin has shrunk dramatically since the 2000 election, which showed Hispanic voters were 63 percent Democrats and 36 percent Republicans, researchers said. Not (yet) “worse than Watergate” and other comments
Scandal palpitations: Not (yet) worse than Watergate What does “worse than watergate” mean? asks Andrew C. McCarthy in The Hill, on ex-prez description of Special Counsel John Durham’s findings. If the Obama administration “assigned the FBI and CIA to assist the 2016 Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton, by framing the Republican nominee, Donald Trump, as a Kremlin spy” and if “senior government officials” have dishonestly promoted “Trump’s complicity.” With Russia’s account, “we may have something worse than Watergate.” However, “the real-life scandal, which arose from the astonishing revelations in the court…

Ballots have been mailed to the city’s Board of Elections in the name of at least two long-dead Democratic voters in South Brooklyn — where the race is still raging, The Post has learned. The legitimacy of absentee ballots has become an issue in the nearby city council race in the district’s 43rd district, where Republican Brian Fox leads incumbent Democratic candidate Justin Brannan by 255 votes, with at least 1,622 of those votes still uncounted. Tuesday’s election did not go well for Democrats. Democrat Terry McAuliffe lost the governor’s race in blue-tipped Virginia hard, with Biden beating Trump by 10 points. And in the dark blue state of New Jersey, where Biden won by 16 points, incumbent Democratic Party candidate Phil Murphy yelled at Republican challenger Jack Cetrilli. The Issue: Democrats lost local elections in Virginia, New Jersey and elsewhere last Tuesday. Repeating the “bad orange guy” phrases and playing the race card doesn’t seem to be a good left-handed strategy (“He’s awake now!” November 4). People are beginning to notice the rising prices of fuel and essentials, the continuing crisis on our southern border and attempts to pass bills that will lead to long-term increases in taxes and inflation. The recent state elections show a red wave of parents who don’t want kids to be taught a…

Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s 17-year-old son tried to vote twice on Election Day, but was rejected by poll workers both times because of his age, officials said. The teenager attempted to cast his vote at the Hickory-area polling station at Great Falls Library, which is not the designated polling place for his address, election officials. He told NBC4. “This morning, November 5, 2021, the Registrar General was informed of concerns that there are 17 [year-old] “On two election day voting occasions,” the Fairfax County Elections Office mentioned to NBC4 in…
Read MorePossible recount as Murphy, Ciattarelli’s neck and neck
Political commentators say the New Jersey gubernatorial race may be headed for a recount after votes are counted — as Democrat Phil Murphy and Republican Jack Ciatarelli remained in sweltering heat a day after polls closed. “All the polls were wrong. This is likely to be a recount race, either way,” former Garden State Governor Chris Christie TownHall said early Wednesday. “There is a very legitimate chance that Jack will win this,” he added. In New Jersey, there is no automatic recount, however, Any candidate can request Recount of votes…
