Police said a man pushed another rod onto subway rails in an unprovoked attack in Lower Manhattan early Monday. The 45-year-old victim was standing on South Platforms 1, 2 and 3 of Chambers Street Station when the attacker pushed him from behind – sending him onto the bars. Fortunately, the police said, there was no train coming. Police said the victim himself managed to climb off the bars and refused to receive medical attention.
